Washing (30∘C):
Method: Hand washing is the safest method to protect the embroidery from agitation.
Prep: Always turn the T-shirt inside out. If using a machine, place the item in a mesh laundry bag.
Temperature: Use Cool water (30∘C max). This prevents color bleeding from the thread and minimizes cotton shrinkage.
Detergent: Use a mild, liquid detergent.
Cycle (Machine): Select the Delicate or Gentle cycle with a low or no spin speed.
Additives: Avoid all bleach, brighteners, and fabric softeners, as these can weaken or dull the embroidery threads.
Separation: Wash separately or only with other soft, delicate items. Avoid washing with zippers, buttons, or abrasive fabrics (like denim).
Drying:
Air Dry ONLY. NEVER tumble dry. Heat can cause the embroidery to pucker or warp, and it shrinks the cotton.
Excess Water: Gently press out water. Do NOT wring or twist.
Hanging: Lay the item flat on a clean surface or drying rack to maintain the T-shirt's shape. Avoid hanging by the shoulders when soaking wet.
Sunlight: Dry in a shaded area to prevent color fading.
Ironing:
Method: Iron only when the garment is dry or slightly damp.
Protection: Always iron the shirt inside out, using a low/warm setting and no steam directly on the embroidery. A pressing cloth placed over the embroidery is an added protection.
General:
Stains: Pre-treat stains by dabbing (not rubbing) from the back side of the fabric. Avoid scrubbing the embroidery threads themselves.
